We interview New Franchisee Pavan from Birmingham about her experience joining BabyBeats and Mindful Movers

Reading Time: 2 minutes

What initially drew you towards BabyBeats and Mindful Movers?

I was interested with the integration of various practices around mum, baby, and children’s classes. I take a keen interest in yoga, fitness, and teaching. BabyBeats and Mindful Movers combined these passions for me, whilst allowing me to inspire other mums on their postnatal journey.

Did the initial training course meet your expectations?

The initial training course was, and still is fantastic. Rose ensured a comfortable environment for teaching and learning, whilst providing support, enthusiasm and commitment. There was both an in person, and multiple virtual training sessions which allowed for both practical and theory work.

Have you had opportunities to interact with other teachers or mentors in the initial months? How has that support benefitted your on boarding experiences?

There have been multiple mentoring sessions, which has taken place virtually. This has allowed the opportunity for communication between other BabyBeats and Mindful Movers teachers. I am planning to attend another in person training where I hope to interact and learn with another fellow teacher.

How does our ongoing training align with your career goals, and how do you see it benefitting your long-term professional development?

The ongoing training and support that is provided by BabyBeats has enabled a wealth of knowledge to be received, not only of teaching the course, but tips and methods to run a successful business. Training is progressive, and there is no stagnant moment within this business, maintaining growth and productivity. Personalised goals are shared and encouraged, allowing for discussions to take place to pave the path to make these a reality in the future.

What support mechanisms, such as ongoing learning resources, do you feel are crucial to continuing your growth and development after completing our initial training programme?

Training on any changes to techniques in exercise, approaching businesses, registering and using government funding for low-income families, continued progression of course into secondary schools.

In your opinion, what sets our training programme apart from others you’ researched in the field, and how would you recommend it to franchisees?

The opportunity to have regular and in-depth meetings and training when required. Yes, I would recommend it to others.

Do you feel you have received support from your franchisor?

Yes, definitely. Rose has been absolutely brilliant as a mentor; with any questions I may have, and has always strived to support me in building this business. She has always made time to go through anything I need assistance with, regardless of whether this has been covered in previous discussions.
