Throughout the Coronavirus lockdown, PerCurra founder and Managing Director Gill Heppell has been updating and reassuring our homecare teams via weekly podcasts uploaded to the company smartphone App. In her recorded messages Gill explains the latest care sector guidance and shares stories of PerCurra staff who are still delivering excellent support to clients despite these difficult conditions.

“Steering our home care teams through the COVID situation has been one of our top priorities these past few months,” said Gill. “The ever-changing Government guidance for care providers and the extreme demand for PPE have created challenges. Great communication and support between our care teams and our branches has been more important than ever.

“The lockdown has prevented many families from giving much needed daily support to their relatives and this has led to an increase in demand for our home care services in all of our branches. It has been important to get new care packages up and running quickly and our staff have been truly amazing. In my podcasts, it is great to be able to share the wonderful comments we have received from our clients and their families.

“Uploading the podcasts to our PerCurra App has been a great way to reach out to our teams. We launched the App at the end of last year as a way of boosting communication between our homecare teams and branches. It certainly has proved to be invaluable!

“We have been holding regular Microsoft Teams meetings with our branches. The camaraderie has always been great between all our franchisees and branch managers but it is even more evident now. The way they have got behind each other, sharing ideas and support has been amazing.”
