The Travel Franchise jets over 60 consultants to Mauritius and Japan in October – for free

How do you launch a travel consultancy with no previous experience and become an expert in niche sectors such as cruising, golf, ski and more?

You get the best training and support – and experience some of the world’s most popular holiday destinations firsthand.

This is the philosophy of The Travel Franchise, which has helped more than 740 people from all walks of life switch careers and earn money booking holidays from home or a hammock.

This year, the company has taken hundreds of its consultants on ‘mentorship’ retreats overseas.

No wonder it was voted the Best Lifestyle Franchise in the World in 2025 – and why its Elite franchise package (which includes two of these trips abroad) is its most popular.

Last week, 30 agents jetted off to Mauritius where they checked into a collection of luxury Beachcomber resorts. Their days blended business workshops with unforgettable experiences – from sailing the turquoise waters on a catamaran to shaking up cocktails on a sun-drenched beach.

This week, 11 lucky agents are teeing off in style – combining indulgent stays at five-star resorts like the legendary Royal Palm with rounds of golf on championship courses. Alongside them is co-founder Paul Harrison, sharing insider business tips and industry know-how between holes, making it a retreat that’s as inspiring as it is luxurious.

Experiences like these don’t just create incredible memories – they give consultants priceless insider knowledge, forge stronger ties with top travel suppliers and build the confidence to deliver a truly five-star service to their clients.

And the adventures keep coming. Later this week, another group will jet off on a mentorship retreat to Japan, immersing themselves in a culture and destination that will set them apart as true travel experts.

Many agents say the overseas retreats are worth the franchise fee on their own. The training sessions are packed with insider tips that sharpen their industry knowledge, but just as powerful is the chance to rub shoulders with experienced colleagues whose success stories spark fresh motivation and prove what’s possible.

And it’s not just golf on the agenda – The Travel Franchise also curates specialist trips across a range of sectors. This December consultants will sail away on a Caribbean cruise, while earlier this year they hit the slopes on a ski retreat in Italy, each adventure adding another layer of expertise they can bring back to their clients.

Consultant Ellie Parkinson, a former teacher who joined in 2024, says: “These trips always inspire and help take my business to the next level. I can honestly say joining this franchise has been the best career decision I’ve ever made! The Beachcomber hotels where we stayed in Mauritius are stunning properties, with first-class service and delicious food. I’m feeling refreshed, inspired and ready to take on the next chapter!”

Not only did Ellie enjoy two free retreats as part of her £14,995 franchise fee, she also had that fee refunded after hitting the set commission target in her first 12 months – something only The Travel Franchise offers. She reached that milestone earlier this year, proving how quickly the right training and support can pay off.

Ellie’s journey began after a personal travel consultant organised one of her own holidays. Inspired by the service, she thought: what an incredible job – I’d love to do that.

Now she does, and with a thriving business and unforgettable experiences behind her, she couldn’t be happier.
