Did you enjoy some well-deserved down time over the summer? Or is yours one of those businesses which never slows down, or even enjoys its peak season at this time of year?
Well, the TFC team never really stops either, and they’ve been busy getting ready for one of the most important times of the year for franchising.
Even if you haven’t started the process of franchising your business – or perhaps not even decided if it’s right for you, yet – there could well be people out there right now, returning to jobs after the summer which just aren’t right for them. People who are considering business ownership for the first time, and trying to work out how they can make it happen,
People who could very well become your first franchisees one day.
Every autumn, we see a big spike in new enquiries from people who are exploring franchising. The franchisors positioned to convert that wave are the ones who started twelve months before it arrived, not the ones who noticed it and then started.
On our website you’ll find a link to our free Franchise Ready Review within the article: ‘Anyone rethinking their future today could be your first franchisee tomorrow’; it could be exactly the clear, no nonsense overview that you need to see where you stand in terms of franchising in time for the 2027 peak.
Franchise Copywriting & Content
How much content do you actually need? How often, and how much does it cost?
Most franchisors Dan Sherrington talks to can’t answer that with any confidence, and it’s not because they haven’t thought about it. It’s because the answers aren’t always easy to find.
We often share advice and ideas on how your franchise can put our content which grabs prospects’ attention, but we’ve decided to take a much more practical approach this time round. Dan’s published a fixed content menu in the article: ‘How do you actually know how much content you need?’, with clear package options, deliverables and prices listed upfront, so you can see exactly what a realistic content plan looks like before you’ve spoken to anyone. The piece explains the thinking behind it, and it’s an unusually transparent way to handle a conversation that normally involves a lot of vagueness on both sides.
Franchise Operations & Support Services
Your autumn conference is probably already taking shape. However, Steve Eastaugh’s piece on our website – Want this year’s conference to do more than just fill a day? – is worth reading before the planning gets much further, because the biggest reason franchise conferences fall short often isn’t the agenda, and it isn’t the content. It’s something a lot of franchisors don’t see coming until they’re standing in the room watching it happen.
It’s a quick read, and if you’ve ever left a conference day feeling like the messages didn’t quite land the way you intended, you’ll recognise exactly what he’s talking about.
TFC Software House
You probably know Ziik as the platform that gets franchise networks off endless WhatsApp threads and unsearchable email chains and into proper 21st Century comms which actually strengthens their network. One, unified platform for head office and franchisees to stay aligned, without things falling through the gaps. Alan Bradley’s piece on our website titled ‘Built for franchisees – turns out your customers need it too’ is about something Ziik has added that extends that same logic outwards to your customers.
Ziik now functions as an extranet as well as an intranet. The system that keeps your network connected can now be the same system your customers use to get information, track updates, and know where to go when they have a question, rather than guessing across five different channels. Alan’s examples are grounded in real sectors: care providers managing family communication, children’s activity businesses staying ahead of parent queries, membership businesses keeping customers engaged rather than wondering what’s happening. The common thread is that people want one clear place to go. Most businesses are making them hunt. Ziik now means yours doesn’t have to.
The piece also covers a new AI-powered search across document libraries, which is more practically useful than it sounds. Asking a question and getting an answer is a different
Franchise Recruitment
Do you think that outsourced recruitment means handing everything over and losing control? Or that your in-house team means you couldn’t benefit from outside help occasionally?
TFC’s Franchise Recruitment support is built around what you actually need, which looks different for every franchisor we work with. Some come to us with no recruitment function at all and want us to run the whole process: finding and qualifying leads, nurturing candidates through the pipeline, shaping the narrative that makes their opportunity compelling, and converting the right people into franchisees. Others have specific gaps: a particular stage of the process that’s losing candidates, a channel that isn’t performing, a pipeline that’s busy but not converting. We work at both ends of that spectrum and everywhere in between, and the scope is always built around what your business genuinely needs, not a standard package applied regardless of your situation.
What fewer franchisors realise is that we can also work with an existing in-house recruitment operation without replacing it. Our ‘Endless Franchisees’ service is specifically designed for that – tightening the systems and processes already running, using automation to follow up at the right moments with the right message, making sure your hottest prospects aren’t being lost in a busy pipeline, and giving you clear enough data to keep improving over time. The goal isn’t to do more than you need. It’s to make sure that what you’re already doing is working as hard as it should be.
