Lucy Campbell will take over the running of Right at Home UK, after founder Ken Deary achieves the honour of chairing the British Franchise Association.
Quality homecare provider Right at Home has appointed a new CEO to oversee the growth of its UK network to 100 franchised offices.
Lucy Campbell, former Chief Operations Officer, said the promotion after 6 years with the business was a dream come true.
Lucy, who also sits on the board of the Homecare Association, said: “It’s a privilege to be in a position to play an instrumental role in supporting vulnerable adults at a time when this need has never been more important, due to the current pressures our sector is facing.”
Ken Deary, the owner, founder and former chief exec, will retain an active role as chair of Right at Home whilst also stepping up to chair the British Franchise Association (bfa).
He hands over the reins on a high note, having seen Right at Home collect both the WorkBuzz Best Franchise Award and the HSBC Gold Franchisor of the Year Award at the recent bfa Conference.
Lucy said her goal was to propel the business growth up to 100 UK offices with a combined turnover of over £100 million. She added that she had been overwhelmed by the response to her appointment from Right at Home’s 70+ franchise owners.
“It wasn’t long after joining Right at Home six years ago that I realised I wanted to be here for the long haul. It epitomises everything I stand for in terms of values, leadership and culture, so for me it’s a dream come true and an absolute privilege to be given the opportunity to take the business on to the next level, while retaining our position as a leading employer and a brand trusted for consistent quality.
Ken Deary said the decision to appoint a new CEO was driven both by succession planning for the network, and to allow his commitment to the role of Chairman of the British Franchise Association.
Ken said: “Ethical franchising is a real passion of mine, and the British Franchise Association is the original and largest not-for-profit trade association for franchising in the UK, supporting a near £20 billion industry, so for me, this invitation was an honour, and one that I couldn’t pass up.
“Lucy has helped us move so far forward in the business already and I’m confident that she will take the business on to the next level; she’s got so much drive and energy and is really well respected by her peers and the franchise network.”
Lucy is also an award-winning franchisor, having twice received the national EWiF Franchisor of the Year accolade in 2020 and 2021. She added:
