For me, supporting women to start their own businesses isn’t just a job, it’s a calling. Because I’ve been that woman.
I remember when my children were small, feeling completely stuck. I’d trained and worked in fitness studios for years but the reality was by the time I factored in childcare, any money I could earn was almost completely gone.
The numbers didn’t add up. But worse than that, neither did the emotions.
The guilt of even wanting to work was heavy. The idea of leaving my babies, even for a few hours, felt wrong… and yet, I wanted more. Not just financially, but for myself. I wanted to contribute, to feel purposeful and to keep a part of me alive and that made me feel like a failure.
I felt like I couldn’t win. Not a full time mum, not a full-time earner.
That tug of war? That invisible weight? I know I’m not the only one who’s felt it. And that’s exactly why I’m so passionate about helping women build businesses that fit their lives, not the other way around.
We understand the need for flexibility, and we design smarter, more human ways to work. We create businesses that allow us to be there, for the school runs, the sick days and everything in between. We lift each other up. When one woman succeeds, she often brings others with her.
Starting my own business wasn’t easy. But it was everything. It gave me freedom, purpose, pride and a chance to show my children what’s possible when you commit.
Now, I help other women do the same, whether it’s through joining a BabyBeats franchise, accessing resources or just having the support and belief that they can do this too.
Because you can. You’re not selfish for wanting more. You’re not a failure for struggling. You’re human. And you’re powerful.
