The Gold Standard
Home Instead Senior Care is the world’s leading homecare provider with operations across 14 countries and a network of over 1200 franchisees, all who have shared values and a common goal; to deliver unprecedented care in their communities.
We are the pioneers of Relationship led, person centred care in the UK and are the only Care Company in the UK to be awarded the Queens Award for Enterprise for Innovation. This award is the highest UK award for British businesses and we received this recognition due to the fact that we build our care around the relationship with the client, with particular focus on quality and companionship.
Home Instead Senior Care is much more than just a business. The work we do makes a significant difference to our client’s lives, helping them to remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible.
With our person-centred care, excellent brand reputation and award-winning quality, we are seen as the first and only choice for many.
According to previous research, around three quarters of older people will develop a social care need and the government is challenged with increasing numbers of elderly people needing support but also a shrinking pot of money. Therefore, they welcome the prospect of privately owned businesses filling the demand gap for services that were previously provided publicly. The shortfall also means that more people are privately funding their own care.
The demand for home care services for older people is growing at an unprecedented rate. As it stands today, there are more people in the UK aged 60 years and above, than there are under the age of 18 years. The Office of National Statistics has predicted that the number of people aged 75 years and over will grow from 5.2 million in 2014 to over 9.9 million in 2039. Equally, the number of people living the UK with dementia is expected to rise from 850,000 people to a staggering 1 million by 2025 and soaring to over 2 million by 2051.
Family members are not always available or nearby to support their loved ones and help them to continue to lead an independent life in their own homes. This creates a need for trusted care solution to be put in place.
How the model works
This is a management Franchise, offering a wide range of services including, but not limited to companionship, light housekeeping, personal care and specialist dementia care, to the elderly. Our goal is to enable people to remain independent in their own homes through assistance, stimulation and encouragement.
As a franchise owner, you will operate from an office within a geographical territory covering a minimum of 25,000 people over the age of 65. You will be responsible for managing the business growth, development, financial and people management. You will also recruit a qualified team of staff who will assist you with the home care operations.
Choosing a franchise in a market with a promising and assured economic future is good business sense.
Many of our clients fund their own care but we are not ‘just for the wealthy’.
The government has introduced direct payments. This gives anyone qualifying for funded social care the ability to choose our quality care solution.
The Quality of care we deliver is matched by the quality of support given to our franchise owners. The fact there is a 4:1 ratio of franchise offices to National Office employees demonstrates Home Instead’s commitment to the continuous training and development of its franchisees.
